Palender Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 October 2026 · Beta version
These terms are an agreement between you and Palender Inc. ("Palender", "we", "us"), of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the Palender app, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. The beta
Palender is in a closed beta. It is unfinished: features may change, break or be removed, and data from the beta may occasionally be reset. Please tell us about problems from Settings → Report a problem.
2. Who can use Palender
You must be 18 or older. By using Palender you confirm that you are. Some events are marked 19+; it's up to you and the event's host to follow the age rules for the event and the law where it happens.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your login safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Don't create an account for someone else or pretend to be someone you're not.
- Usernames must follow the in-app rules; we can ask you to change one that impersonates someone or is offensive.
4. Using Palender respectfully
You agree not to use Palender to:
- harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone;
- post sexual content someone didn't ask for, or any sexual content involving minors;
- spam, scam, or sell things people didn't ask about;
- promote or organise anything illegal, or events that put people in danger;
- share someone else's private information (like their address) without their permission;
- pretend to be another person, promoter or venue;
- break, overload, scrape or get around Palender's privacy and security protections, or access other people's accounts.
5. Your content
You own what you post — events, messages, photos and the rest. You give Palender permission to store it, show it to the people you've shared it with, and process it as needed to run the app (for example to deliver a notification or act on a report). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept as our Privacy Policy describes (such as reports, and events you were hosting, which stay visible marked as cancelled so guests aren't left expecting them).
Only post content you have the right to share.
6. Events and meeting up
- Palender doesn't organise, host or check events. Hosts are responsible for their events, and everyone is responsible for their own safety and choices. Use your judgement when meeting people.
- Ticket links go to other websites. Palender never takes payment and isn't responsible for tickets, refunds or prices set by others.
- If an event is cancelled, it stays visible marked as cancelled, with the host's reason.
7. Promoter and venue pages
During the beta, promoter and venue pages are created and managed by Palender. Businesses can't yet run their own pages; when they can, separate rules for pages will apply.
8. Reports, blocking and moderation
You can report people, messages, events and pages, and block anyone. Reports go to our moderators. "Someone is in danger" reports are prioritised. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
We may remove content, limit features or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with or without notice. We don't share the outcome of a report, but we do act on them.
9. Other services
Palender works with services from other companies — Sign in with Apple and Google, Google and Outlook calendars, GIPHY, and Apple Maps. Their own terms apply to your use of them.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. What happens to your information is set out in the Privacy Policy. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms or if we end the beta.
11. No warranties
Palender is provided "as is", especially during the beta. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that information shown in it (such as event details posted by others) is accurate.
12. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Palender Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens at an event, between users, or on another company's service. Palender is free, so if we are liable to you for anything, our total liability is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
13. Palender's app
The Palender app, its name, logo and design belong to Palender Inc. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, modify or reverse-engineer it.
14. Apple
Because Palender is distributed through Apple's App Store and TestFlight, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple isn't responsible for Palender or for supporting it, and Apple may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using Palender after a change, you accept the new terms.
16. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Ontario.
